IF they change the rules to slow down the rwd bmw's i'd love it if turkington jumped the gun and switched to a fwd and beat them at there own game.
I don't see why the rules need to be changed. Turkington has had the same type of year Jordan had last year, and the same as Seddon before, everything has just worked for him. He's been consistent with scoring points even when he wasn't the quickest. Collard, Foster, Abbot and Austin are also in rear wheel drive cars and they've been relatively nowhere.

I agree with you, however i love the fact that his game plan has been to constantly score points, not to get into scrapes and dnf, what better game plan next year than to jump ship to fwd just as rwd is penalised.

I think the RWD / FWD issue is not about how quick or slow a driver is in the car its about the start. RWD has an advantage. Its clear. Even with the longer 1st gear the BMW's (didn't see the audis starts so couldn't comment) still had an advantage. On average I'd say that the RWD runners probably made up 2 places at the start of every race, if you assume they keep those 2 places over the course of the race thats 60 point or more over the course of a season.

So the first 2 fully confirmed team and driver combination sorted will start a entry list with confirmed cars and drivers only.

Great news to have another manufacture backed teams in the btcc.

Its not a manufacturer backed team per say, its just sponsorship, the same way Infiniti sponsor Red Bull.

They are interested enough to sponsor, hopefully this may lead to a full on works effort in the future.

Sounds like a similar thing to mg with 888 wonder if infiniti are supplying the shells. Also I vaguely remember something last year or the year before mentioning a million pound touring car im sure the drivers names was also mentioned with it so maybe this has been behind closed doors for a while and that's why gow wanted to keep 2 license back just for this.

Just looking at Facebook this morning and saw a story about Simon Belcher.

Simon says that his TBL isn't for sale. Does this mean that if you've got a TBL then you keep it until you say you no longer want it?

The Infiniti/RBR partnership isn't just sponsorship, there has been a reasonable amount of technical knowledge support flowing both ways.

It'd be interesting to know what Nissan contribute to RBR in F1.

I believe there was a fair amount of technical support on the ERS/KERS or whatever it's called this week.

Liking most of it infact, more ballast is a good thing as it wasn't doing much this year and the 2nd race start positions from fastest laps in race 1.

Anyone know what's happening to Moffat's car? I've heard Chris Stockton was apparently buying it but not seen anymore about that. Curious really as I've just seen the shell on the back of a trailer going down the M6 hehe

It's been stripped and is on its way to its new home.
