I've watched the start of race 3 a few times now, drivers definitely setting off before lights out. Do they generally let that go?

The TV pictures of the grid and the start lights are not in perfect sync.

So how much left of that barrier will be left on the jim clark Essex at the end of the race.
I missed Croft today (despite living down the road ) as I was at Cadwell; I shall be having words with the circuit management about renaming the Jim Clark Esses though...

On the sauce after 'only' a second and a fifth? wink
Got some fairly strong tracks for your car after Knockhill, you must be reasonably confident on a strong end of season?

That corner cutting (in general), what are the rules on it, as it appears some were completely on the other side of it at times?

Just read that Palmer and MSV are bidding to run the BTCC from 2017. Bit of a double edged sword that one. On the one hand we could see a really great race weekend package with some of the other championships he has, and it will be effectively and efficiently run. (Who knows, maybe even a British Superbike & BTCC super weekender!! - One can only hope!). On the other hand, it could move to an even more MSV focused calendar, with less rounds at non MSV circuits. Will be interesting to see if he gets it, he has been after a top bill touring car series for years to go with his GT and single seaters

You can guarantee you'll be doing brands 3 times, oulton twice, snetterton then maybe a return to cadwell park.

Who knows maybe they'll take btcc over to europe for a round?

Re a btcc/bsb weekend how on earth would you cram the support rounds into the weekends schedule.

You think you don't know.

Alan Gow hasn't ruled it out providing the infrastructure was upgraded and you can bet if palmer runs btcc he'll want it at his tracks.

'Although BTCC Series Director Alan Gow has admitted that the circuit currently lacks the infrastructure to host the championship, he hasn't ruled out the possibility of a race if the required work was carried out, and Jonathan Palmer - whose MotorSport Vision company owns the circuit – said he would welcome the BTCC with open arms.'

would they possibly keep the current list of tracks but maybe in the future add Bedford or Cadwell? I for one think there are not enough races on the current calendar.
But it will be a few years once the facilities are updated and maybe the roads around them to accommodate more traffic to the tracks

Bedford will never host a race. It'd never get the planning permission for the noise and traffic.

Trying to get racing there would probably get it shut down completely.

Cadwell would have to be the last round of the year, as there may be no cars left afterwards.. awesome circuit, and i would actually bother to go there and watch..

cadwell manages to host BSB so other than the cramped pit lane it shouldnt need too much work..

I'd like to see Castle Combe on the calendar myself. But for a start they need to build pit garages before that would happen...

The guy who runs bsb said the problem is not enough room to get the team trucks plus hospitality at coombe.

Providing they don't need to use the pits, Cadwell wouldn't be a major issue really (Other than surrounding roads, but they make a lot of them one way during BSB anyway). The track is no narrower than Knockhill and they race there with no problems.

They managed with British GT and F3 back in early 2000's though admittedly the BSB weekend as a whole has more support races/competitors. I did think the problem with Castle Combe is noise. That's why they lost British GT/F3 as the local Nimby's complained about having a full race weekend of noisy cars and large numbers of spectators.

Anglesey would be a perfect addition to BTCC.
