Top Tips No. 67: Keep your S interior nice & dry......
Discussion
......by putting the roof panels on if it's raining
I can't believe I just said that!
Seriously, when your S is left all alone outside with a Leven hood cover, try this dehumidifier currently available from Aldi.
Each refill bag lasts 6 to 8 weeks , you just have to empty out the collector base every few days.
It keeps the condensation down, I would recommend it even if your S lives in a nice garage.
I also use a couple of silica gel bags tucked behind the dash which helps to reduce condensation inside the instruments.
I just recharge the bags every so often with 5 mins at full power in the microwave. But leave them for a while after this, because they do get VERY hot!
Watch out for the next Top Tip!
Silly me, I forgot the pic!

Tip number 68, how to stop your instruments from misting up. Drill a 3/32 inch, or 2.4mmm hole into the lowest point, at the back of the instrument case. Spray a little WD40 in using the straw attached on the tin, the hole at the bottom allows any excess to run out, hey presto, no more misting up. The difficult part of course is getting the things out.
That is indeed a top tip, I will certainly give it a go. Like Glen my car is outside all the time and those dials always mist up. Has anybody tried one of those small electric dehumidifiers? Apparently you could run a pipe out through a floor drain hole and just leave it!
Glen, nice to know we can both look forward to 69 at our age, keep it up!

But a Top Tip nonetheless.
Looking forward to 69........
69, in an S not at my age. I guess I`ll have to look hard for a 2.4, maybe a 2.5 will suffice, that should just clear it But a Top Tip nonetheless.
Looking forward to 69........
