Hi,

I'm looking to purchase my first Aston in the next 6 months and I want to store the car in my garage, I have a double garage but unfortunately it's got a supporting partial wall going down the middle.

Would someone be kind enough to measure the distances from the nose of the car to the edge of the door (lock side) so I can check I have enough space to open the door fully once inside the garage.

I have ordered "the book" and due to budget constraints I hope to get a 2007/08 model but ideally an 09 car but I suspect this will be well over my budget.

Thanks
Paul.

Can anyone help????

Just looking for the length from nose to door edge on a V8V coupe so I can check if I'm going to be able to open the door fully once in the garage, if not I need to look for another solution to use the garage with the V8V.

Received the Gaydon era book yesterday, it's a great read really enjoying it.

Thanks
Paul.

I just went out to measure my V8V coupe.

It's 2.75m from the front of the bumper to the rear edge of the door.

Hope this works for you.

If it helps I push mine into out of the garage as I can't get out of the door if I park it all the way in! I park it half in just leaving me enough room to open the door outside of the garage and then push in until it rests against a piece of angle iron I have on the floor to stop it rolling too far.

It's not too heavy as long as you're not trying to push it up hill. I push it in using the spokes on the front wheel.

Thank you all for your replies, most helpful.

Just need to get Christmas out the way now then I can do some serious looking before spring comes.

Thanks again

Paul.
