Very much looking forward to this game. I think it could be the Gran Turismo of the next generation. I bought a PS4 thinking GT6 would be a launch title (possibly a bit of wishful thinking), but Polyphony seems to have their head stuck up too far. This seems to be far, far superior in every regard to what I'd even imagine GT7 will be.

Wish I could afford a PC and 4K monitor to utilize the game's full potential. I was actually planning on getting a "proper" gaming PC, but I ended up buying an Alfa Spider, instead!
I'm playing it on an ageing i7 with a GTX 760 and it's looking damn good here and smooth.
I love how you say "ageing" i7! Ha! My PC is an old Dell from around 2003 or 2004 running Windows XP. I don't think it even has a dual-core processor and I know it doesn't have a dedicated graphics card. Recently, I've been using one of my dad's spare work laptops for general browsing, etc, but I know it'll have to go back, eventually. After I get a job, a new PC is one of the first things on the list (as well as fixing the rust issues on my Alfa).

Reading this makes me glad I didn't buy DriveClub. I wanted to wait to hear what people were saying about it. I also wasn't too impressed on the whole "social media" focus of the game, as I generally don't do online on racing games. I may be a part of the "social media generation", but I'm one of those who still mourns the loss of split-screen multiplayer. I hate how I can't even play against my own real-life friends and family, without each of them having their own PS4, TV, etc. I liked it when I could play against my friends in the same room.

I'm the same to be honest, I'm not a fan at all of this 'all connected, social sharing' gameplay. I don't even like online multiplayer.. I want a game to be an immersive experience that doesn't rely on other human players to make it interesting.

Just thought I should say I've been excited about pCARS for a while but wanted to wait for reviews to buy, but off the back of this thread I have preordered the limited edition.

One last question, on the PS4 what wheel is preferred by the development team, a t500rs or t300rs?

Delayed until March?

Gives Sony chance to sort their wheel issues out at least.

Calm down poppet, the wheel compatibility issue is a problem for a lot of people looking to purchase Project Cars.

If you don't like reading about the issues you can scroll on past rather than getting your panties in a twist.

Shame indeed. I'm gonna have to dust off the PS3 and get back on GT6 as I can't face playing Driveclub until March

Last time I played it back in April it was a mess so I'm not suprised by a potential delay.

Apparently to not get in the way of GTA 5 launch confused I enjoyed it on the PS3 but not enough to buy again on the 4. Give me a decent racing game!

I have to say that in a way I'm not surprised, I was intending on buying PCARS, GTAV and Farcry 4 which are all out on/around the same date and I did think that PCARS might get overlooked sales wise as it's not quite such a high profile game. There are a few other big games out then too.

While I am disappointed that I wont be playing Project CARS next month at least I'll have a couple of other games to tide me over until March when hopefully, a bigger, better, polished Project CARS will be launched!

Seems as though it is true. Well it better be unbelievably good now if they're making me wait or I'll be quite annoyed.

Yeah, sorry guys, the pushback to March is official. I know it's disappointing, but it's the right decision.

Getting a game like this home is tough, and we decided to bump the release date for a couple of reasons. First, the extra time will allow us to get the game up to the level of polish we think it deserves. Had we super-crunched to get the game ready for its original launch, that wouldn't have been the case.

Second, Project CARS is a big deal for us at Slightly Mad Studios. It's a AAA title designed, funded and built in a way that's never been done before. And we owe it to our community (who are 100% behind the decision) to give our baby the best possible chance. Simply put, the March window is much better for us in terms of visibility, and in terms of potential success, than the crowded Q4 2014 one.

Thanks for your support in this thread, though. It means the world to us to know that people are excited to get their hands on our little game.

Thanks for commenting Pete, It's much appreciated by everyone here. As you say, it's better you release an awesome game than an unfinished one with glitches and constantly needing updates etc. etc.

It's the right decision but I just hope it's not another GT5 style disappointment, over-hyped, delayed and disappointing when it finally arrived.
