Depends what's in the trunk.
Sounds like a Channel 5 game show.

Oh dear!

If it's any consolation, I managed to save a decent digital programmer and wiring centre for you, from a heating system I ripped out this week.

I've contacted Cardiff Museum to see if they're interested in the one currently fitted...
Looks like we're beginning to need the heating already - any availability to come and give the system an overhaul?

Finally BT have deigned to connect the phone and broadband. woohoo Needless to say it wasn't straightforward and involved an hour on the phone to Bangalore and much shouting at stupid people who didn't give a crap.

We are finally to be reunited with our lives (allegedly) on Thursday.

I managed to investigate the contents of the loft today.
I don't want to ruin your day but if you think joining BT was bad then just try leaving them...

Leaving BT was simple. Sky did it all for me!
we'll I say simple, but 3 weeks worth of phone calls from them wasn't ideal, but once I'd ignored them enough they stopped wink

Thanks Ricky.

Went outside to fit the replacement brake light switch to the TVR and promptly dropped the retaining nut down the only drain within a 50 metre radius. banghead Tried retrieving it but its gone! Arm down drain up to the shoulder etc.

Spent two hours this evening running around trying unsucessfully to find replacement nut which I think is M12 fine. Anyone got one please?

It's nice to be wanted!

Remember, if you open the red gate valve below the white motorised valve, you will get your heating back.

So, all goods delivered along with some minor damage. No surprise really.

The pile of boxes id gradually reducing and the list of jobs needing doing is growing.
TVR brakelight switch is now fixed -Phew! And I am picking up the Rover to bring it home tomorrow. smile

Still a wee bit of unpacking to do.

And that's just one room.

Still, at least the pooch seems quite relaxed about it:

Found time to build my new office chair supplied by my buddy Whiteflyswatter as a birthday pressie:

The chair is actually bright red but looks pink in the pic.

This is now installed in the garage:

Drove back from Boston without a stop. Just under 4 hours and not an ache. Those old seats are lovely and comfortable.

Hoping to empty some of it into the big storage cupboard today or tomorrow but I need to build up the shelving first.

Garage emptying nicely!

Managed to build the shelves today and get most of the garage stuff into the loft cupboard apart from the bits that are too heavy.

Next job in there will be putting up the storage cupboards but its a two man job so will have to wait for reinforcements.

Office is clear and up and running just about although still needs a bit of jiggling to get it as I'd like it.

most of the house still looks like a tip though.
