Advice please (if you can help)

Was in Aldi on Sunday and noticed some colour CCTV cameras (with sound) which seemed good value at £19.95, so bought a couple. They seem well made and substantial.

In a week or so, I plan to link them up to a hard drive/DVD type recorder, but just for now, I thought I would try matching them up to the back of either our 42" Panasonic TV or our 19" Hitachi portable flat screen.

However, I can't match the wiring up......coming from the camera I have a white (audio) plug/connector and a yellow (Video) plug/connector, which I can't seem to fathom out where they go into the back of the sets, for a start I can't see a yellow connection, just white, red or blue.

The instructions seem clear enough but aren't if you get my drift.

Does this mean I will have to buy a special CCTV monitor, made for the job, with the correct fittings?

Cheers,

WR.

You may have a yellow video (composite video) connector on the front of the TV, under a flap? Alternatively get a SCART adaptor, one of these

That looks to be exactly what I might need.

Thanks very much, it has those three colours at the end of the lead, white, yellow and red.

Cheers,

Doh!...Ordered a couple of the parts that you kindly gave me the link to, they came today, I was just about to set them up.. when I noticed my tv's had the required yellow and white sockets on the side, when I was looking on the back, so I've wasted a fiver...rage

However the cameras are now working fine..smile

Highly recommended....£20 from Aldi.

Thanks again anyhow......smile
