Problem is women have basically achieved equality now so the remaining feminists have nothing to actually complain about. Going by her name I'm guessing her family is of Islamic descent so why doesn't she spend her time trying to fight against a system that really does oppress women?
1 - it's too dangerous

2 - it's too much effort (see 1)

3 - it's the western world that has caused all the world's issues therefore any opposition to that set-up must be in the right regardless of their other issues (and see 1 & 2)

Probably none, it wasn't directed at an individual, just a decent percentage of the population. As a white "cis" male I find her a vile racist, so losing her position and reputation (with any luck) is good enough for me.
Excuse my ignorance but chemical background.

I presume cis is used as the isomer of trans as per organic chem.

Jihadis like Moazzam Begg are welcome in NUS circles but it appears that the same doesn't apply to some vocal secularists.

.prominent secularist and activist has been barred from speaking at a student union event due to fears her speech would “incite hatred” against Muslim students.
Maryam Namazie had been booked by the Warwick Atheists, Secularists and Humanists (WASH) group to speak about secularism to Warwick University’s Student Union on 28 October.
However, the group was notified last month that Ms Na mazie’s speech had been cancelled. The decision has led campaigners to raise concerns about student bodies across the UK thwarting freedom of speech on their campuses.

Former student’s union diversity officer is to face court over a tweet with the hashtag “kill all white men."

I wonder how her "I can't be racist" shtick is going to play to the court? The sad thing is if the same had been said by a white male about BAME person their feet (quite rightly!) wouldn't have touched the ground the response would have been that fast. The law needs to apply to all

A non binary person is someone who doesn't identify with either or any sex, not transgender, but perhaps androgynous or intergender, if that is even a thing.

I'm interseted in her "Miniroties can't be racist" angle. Did that apply to the white South African minority who used to run the place then?

You're going to need to run that by me again. A bit slower and in English.

Think it's a damning indictment on our current attitude to freedom of speech that she's been charged. I don't support her views in any way, shape or form but being a gobby idiot should not be a criminal offence.

But she'd be the first person to deman someone who tweeted something against women or minorities be charged

That is absolutely irrelevant to whether she should be charged or not

I disagree profoundly with the way that the law is being used to restrict freedom of expression. However, what is worse than doing that is doing it in a partisan manner, so I think that if we are going to prosecute people for this kind of behaviour, it is correct that she is treated in the same way.
