Will that do?

You, sir, have impeccable taste......

No point telling him that. He's not easily-led.

Rolex is certainly the default choice of the independent thinker.

Got to be honest.......I picked the watch I liked. I didn't have to think twice about a gmt because I thought they looked great. I certainly didn't worry about wether it was the popular default choice of others or not.

What does that say about me!!! Ha!

i won a £200 amazon voucher once and decided to turn it into cash, so i bought one of these with the sole idea of selling it on eBay.

Not really sure who it's for, but i knew it would sell. I often see towny blokes on nights out in groups wearing large idiot watches. it's rose gold, 57mm (yep) and weighs... well guess how much

Go on, admit it, you wear it as your one and only watch now don't you?

P.S. 'large idiot watches' laugh

even if I could get down with the design, a virtually impossible task for non-tts, it weighed far too much. Half a kilo. I tried it on for fun, it was like a dinner plate. I can only assume it's the sort of watch worn by roidy nightclub bouncers whilst on holiday in Elevenirife.

I called them Clown Watches on here a few years ago and got flamed. Pleased that good taste has prevailed and normal sized watches are now more popular. laugh

Then it's an unfortunate coincidence that the watch you liked:

  • Was very expensive
  • Is the most widely recognisable brand for being expensive
  • Is from the brand with the biggest marketing budget.
None of that was relevant at all? Just liked the colours?

Come on...

  • You either have Jeremy Beadle hands or have bought a massive watch
  • You have no taste
All in my opinion, of course.

That between your two watches you have one that the muggles will spot as being very expensive, and one that the watch-watchers will recognise as very expensive. Thus covering all the bases. Good fleet-management.

Why do watch fans refuse to admit "I bought it because it gains me entry into the club, it's fking flash and it annoys my dad!"

That's the reason for most status symbols.

Adina quartz from the mid 70s is daily wear.

Says that I can take your watch apart in my sleep and really don't care what you think of mine smile

Not a lot really Have a few watches but generally wear a sturdy Porsche Design P6000, or a rose gold JLC Reverso Duo..not a flashy watch at all to the casual eye....very rarely get any comments, so assume not noticed at all.

Nice, is that a bi-metal version, maybe that means you like to hedge your bets? I have the Reverso Shadow.

Absolutely. 57mm is ridiculous - even if you do have very manly arms.
