Just been half asleep on the sofa and channel surfing. Turned on Motors TV to see the Japanese Touring Cars. Lots of Supras and Skylines, but geuss what the safty car was ??? A Chim !

Was I dreaming ? Did anybody else see ?

Appeals to my sense of humour.

I was in Japan last year and mentioned to my Japanese colleague that I was buying a TVR, expecting the "what's that" reply I was surprised to learn that he was quite an admirer himself.
Didn't see any on the roads though.

Blimey!

Can you even begin to imagine what a TVR would cost to run in Japan?!?!?

About the same as a fleet of dancing donkeys over here I reckon.

Matt.

When I visited the factory to see my Griff in it's final stages of being codged together, the car in front of it on the line was a silver Griff 500, bound for Japan.

Apart from some subtle differences (revised rear number plate mounting) it looked pretty much as per UK spec. and of course, still had the stonking 5 litre lump, which I reckon must cost a few quid in taxes in Japan.
