Arianespace says launch of an Ariane 5 rocket has been postponed again by unfavorable high-altitude winds over French Guiana.

I guess 2 launches in one day would be greedy smile

"After a two-day delay caused by unfavorable high-altitude winds, an Ariane 5 rocket is set for liftoff Saturday at 3:40 p.m. EST (2040 GMT) from French Guiana with communications satellites for DirecTV and India."

There's another Ariane V launch tonight at 9.15 pm UK time

They've recently had some local difficulty with a general strike in French Guiana, The French government bravely bought them off with a €2.1bn handout.

The staff down there has been on strike for weeks. No that they've gone back to work, the rocket's gone on strike instead.

A sympathy strike. argue

Actually it's supposed to be a problem with a ground equipment sensor, which they've now fixed (or turned off, knowing them).

Countdown should start again soon my sources tell me.
