Hydraulic Sensor + Transmitter + App Development

We are designing a new product but need some additional expertise in a couple of areas.

I need to find an electronic sensor that can send pressure readings from a hydraulic source, then transmit the data to a separate receiver. Must be lightweight, compact and cheap.

The perfect solution would be to send the data straight to your phone with a software tracking app.

Once up and running this "portable kit" will be sold in sensible volume as an ongoing concern.

If anyone could point me in the right direction it would be much appreciated. Thanks.

my friend has developed a canbus based system for doing this plus gps tracking of asset and measuring up to 100 metrics from the vehicles own sensors

A quick google suggests there are several BLE (Bluetooth Low Energy) sensors on the market They don't look that cheap though.

That almost looks perfect!

As you say though its not that cheap, it would be good to find a UK manufacturer of something similar.
