I'd say about 7/7.5

Would be nice to get into a management job having done the training for it, but no chance where I am currently working, and I still enjoy the job I do.
Would be nice to have a little more money (See above)
Would be nice to do the work that needs doing on my house to make it a home (See above)
Would be nice to have someone to come home to rather than an empty house
Would be nice to see more of my kids

However, I have a roof over my head, enough money to cover the bills and put food on my plate, and a job to keep me occupied and busy, my health is generally ok, and I see my kids more than some dads do. So can't complain too much.

I have two diametrically opposed situations at the moment; one of which would be a 7 or 8, the other a 2 or 3. Therefore I'm going with a 5.

9. No kids yet, have not turned fat and have enough money to enjoy life, travel and do whatever the hell we want.

I don't actually see the point of having kids...

Pros:
Wife is mildly happy
Both my boys are great
House is looking good, with the extension finished last month
All family members in good health
Found a decent coach who can get me faster and can help win races

Cons:
Contract ending and need a new job
Loosing considerable money a month - but who gives a st?
Not enough cash to buy a car for Mrs
Not running fast enough

My life? Probably 4 to 6 depending on the day. Too many bad decisions and a niggling health issue mean my life is not where it should be. And I don't think my long term future will be bright. But it's Ok, because I have low expectations.

Today is a three, got my stty job in a couple of hours.

Overall I'm pretty happy though, six or seven perhaps.

7 - could do a lot worse. I'm inherently a doom and gloom merchant, but on the whole my outlook has changed over the last year. Life could be a lot worse, and that's despite having a few rare disorders that affect my day to day life, but as I keep saying, many people live with worse, and this isn't going to kill me.

Sorry for everyone who is on the low end of the scale, I hope things pick up for you. I can sympathise with Impasse, a girl I live with when I'm back up North for work has BPD and I've seen how it affects her, she never looks "right".

Learn to separate work from home. I only come to work to earn money, and when I leave the company car park it's forgotten about until I arrive for work next.
In other words, work to live, NOT live to work.

With that in mind - I have a nice home, warmth, and food to eat. So for me it's a 10.

Yes, I would like a bigger home, a bigger pay cheque, more food, kids who do their homework without being told...a wife with bigger boobs etc etc...but what I have is enough to be content with.

Got my dream job but the wages won't match my skill set until April next year (I should be on £12+ph but currently paid £7.50ph) which is directly linked to the other thing that's bothering me.... I want to move out from my parents house.
