Blimey cal!

Good on you Bradders. Lad deserved that.

Another lap and he'd have had George!

Awesome racing, all three classes put on a really good show this weekend

Looked to be issues with those bridgestones once the temps dropped a bit, lucky all the crashers got away relatively unscathed.

Great racing, gutted for Cal but so pleased for Bradders

Honda need to give Cal Pedrosa's bike after that clap shame he binned it on the last lap. So gutted.

Starting to think it's too many excuses now for Danny.
Despite being a fan of his - if Carl or Bradley were on Danny's bike - I would expect to see a lot more out of the thing.
Top effort to the 3 Englishmen today all in - and that's from a Scotsman!
Superb days racing all in.

Wow what a gp, mega unlucky the tyres let crutchlow down, i wonder how much him chasing lorenzo rather than settling for 3rd had to do with it?

Smith massive well done, whilst others fell he stayed on board and reaped the rewards.

Danny Kent. going to be interesting if he's on the ktm last 2 races, he was mighty pissed off with miller and the ktm team.

That would have been the best podium EVER if Cal hadn't lobbed it and if it had been two laps longer.

I hope his comments haven't put his ride in jeoprody. If they haven't, then Mr. Mullet might be getting a visit from Mr. Karma

If MotoGP had BSB Showdown rules, the championship table would now be:

1. Lorenzo (587)
2. Márquez (578)
3. Rossi (562)
4. Pedrosa (534)

Anyone else find Bradley welling up a bit cringeworthy considering everyone just fell off in front of him

Fair enough you have to finish but I wasn't expecting him to start the waterworks

That podium probably means more to him than all his 125/Moto2 wins & podiums put together. That is a podium in the premier class of motorcycling.

And Marquez doesn't fall off for the fun of it. Bradley managed to do something that even the world champion couldn't do....and that is stay on and finish the race. The conditions were the same for everyone.

His blubbering reinforced that he is human and has an emotional side. I'd rather see his bottom lip quivering than listen to that bogan from Moto3 utter one single word

I'm sure he never dreamed of getting on the podium, so all the pressure re him not being good enough is lifted from his shoulders.

Why did he cry? Why do people cry at there weddings, sometimes emotion gets the better off you.

He should dare to dream of getting podiums in the premier class

I understand what it means to him but it was like he didn't think it was going to come. Hopefully this will spark some serious self belief, I just wasn't expecting that reaction. I guess he's had a bit of a st year so it all got a bit much.

Really? As mentioned, at least 4 riders fell off/were punted off that would, nine times out of ten, have finished in front of him. When you combine that with the fact his rookie teammate is CONSISTENTLY right on his times if not beating them, I think the pressure is far from gone.

I'll admit to not thinking he would do as well as he has, but I think this is his peak.

Can you imagine the uproar from the petulant Aussie if somebody had taken him out?.

Gutted for Crutchlow.

Was brilliant seeing just how much the podium meant to Smith, very nice to see and I was very pleased for him.

Yes several riders around him binned it but crucially he didn't.

Shame to see Marc drop it but I can't say I mind Rossi picking up the win.

didn't Bradders get wacked and run wide in a right hander early in the race?

Guy qualifies 4th at possibly the best bike circuit in the world, and comes third in the race.

I reckon he deserves to have a blubber!

In business class back to Singapore with the whole of the Marc VDS squad, Pete Benson, Ian Wheeler, Tito Rabat, Mika Kallio and Scott Redding, Scott's missus is next to us and our 1yr old. Her face was a picture when she saw the next 8hrs was with a baby for company hehe

Pete an Scott have been making friends with her, pulling faces and stuff. Nice group of people.

So it would seem as though tyres played a major factor, obviously.

The Hondas couldn't run the Super Soft front as they couldn't make it last longer than 10 laps in practice. But the asymmetric tyres didn't hold their grip on the right side in the cooling temperatures of the race (something you can set your watch by at P.Island).

Both factory Yamahas ran the super soft but one lasted much better than the other. Could it be down to riding style? If Rossi comes from an old school, less used to leaning really hard on the tyre's edge grip (something he's only really got up to speed on this season), then when a race comes along where because of tyre choice or temperature you cant rely on that anymore, he has an advantage(?)

Would be good to see some telemetry between the two bikes for lean angles and corner speeds, to see whether Lorenzo's cry of foul is justified or whether he just baked it because heavy reliance on the edge of the tyre is the only way he knows. Maybe some of the new dogs need to learn some old tricks.
