This is a pic of Lorenzo's front...what can be read into that I don't know. He was saying that the tyre was 'defective'.

I havnt seen the race but read various reports.

I think it was a pretty silly idea to have the race start so late in the day just to satisfy an audience; F1 do this with the Malaysian GP, and are surprised every year by the downpour of rain that occurs almost every day at 4 pm.

Move the time back to a sensible period of the afternoon where temperatures are more stable, and tell TV broadcasters to repeat the race. Or at least offer the repeat of the race for half price on the website at the "sensible" time of day.

Tyres were an issue, but tyres always are an issue at PI. MotoMatters had a discussion of this, and stated Pirelli in WSBK have had big issues (anyone remember the world supersport a few years back with the deflated rear tyres?). However, Pirelli have a contract clause which mens they can (and they do) fine riders / teams who speak ill of the tyres (effectively a gagging order). Bridgestone also have this, but wish not to employ it (imagine how poor Lorenzo would be if they did). Riding styles, bike set up, tyre management and the tyre construction / composition are all to play in who makes their tyres last and who doesnt.

Well if it doesn't work out for Redding in GP's he'll be a dab hand at kindergarten! Whhat a legend, kept my daughter entertained for hours with his girlfriend. He's such a nice fella...

They are some great looking covers aren't they, to stop the wind from cooling the discs too much I guess.

That look a lot like the right hand side of Rossi's tyre at the GP of the America's (Round 2 this season)

Both factory Yamahas ran the super soft but one lasted much better than the other.

"After the race Bradl was given one penalty point by Race Direction for his collision with Aleix Espargaro at Turn 4. Smith also receives a penalty point for overtaking under yellow flags in the wake of the Marquez incident. The collision between Iannone and Pedrosa will be reviewed by Race Direction in Sepang as Iannone is still undergoing treatment after his crash."

In business class back to Singapore with the whole of the Marc VDS squad, Pete Benson, Ian Wheeler, Tito Rabat, Mika Kallio and Scott Redding, Scott's missus is next to us and our 1yr old. Her face was a picture when she saw the next 8hrs was with a baby for company hehe

Pete an Scott have been making friends with her, pulling faces and stuff. Nice group of people.

Redding impressed me at silverstone, came out back of his garage and was mobbed.

He spent 15 maybe 20 mins talking, signing everything they wanted he could of done the 'ped charge and got away but no he left when the crowd left.

I thought he was going to be hyper and a bit of a diva but couldn't be further from the truth.

Really? As mentioned, at least 4 riders fell off/were punted off that would, nine times out of ten, have finished in front of him. When you combine that with the fact his rookie teammate is CONSISTENTLY right on his times if not beating them, I think the pressure is far from gone.

I'll admit to not thinking he would do as well as he has, but I think this is his peak.
Maybe it was a bit lucky, but you make your own luck. He got himself into the position to capitalise.

Not surprised he had a bit of a blub, he's had a pretty tough season, and hasn't had it easy in 125s or Moto2. No one else has really done anything of not on that Mistral Tech3 chassis in Moto2, and his bikes in 125 were consistently power spec because he wasn't Spanish. Would appear to be more of the same at Tech 3 given that Pol is Yamaha's man, and Bradders is there by default next year. WSBK in 2016? Or Pramac Ducati.

Smith's personal target to justify a good ride next year was to be the top non-factory rider. Currently that is Alex Espargaro and he is only 9 points in front with 2 races to go.

Anyone else find Bradley welling up a bit cringeworthy considering everyone just fell off in front of him

Fair enough you have to finish but I wasn't expecting him to start the waterworks
That podium probably means more to him than all his 125/Moto2 wins & podiums put together. That is a podium in the premier class of motorcycling.

And Marquez doesn't fall off for the fun of it. Bradley managed to do something that even the world champion couldn't do....and that is stay on and finish the race. The conditions were the same for everyone.

His blubbering reinforced that he is human and has an emotional side. I'd rather see his bottom lip quivering than listen to that bogan from Moto3 utter one single word
Well said! If you want something in any sport that bad it'll pull the cords for some.

I liked the fact Rossi celebrated that win like it was his first and it was his 250th GP race.

Feel for Pedrosa - Lad needs some luck soon.
