Hi.
Does anyone know the generic part number for the 82° thermostat ( tvr e 2027). As i am hoping to pick one up tomorrow. Currently i have the lower temp one in & now the weather is cooler..........

Look for the larger opening bore thermostat with the bleed float, and you'll probably need to get some RTV to reseal it.

the wahler 3004.82 IS the "BIG BORE" (31mm) WITH bleed float. wink

THIS WAS ORIGINALLY FITTED by TVR in speed six engines

easiest and clean fitting with this gasket: http://www.clever-trevor.net/TVR/Search_details/E0...

Not sure that gasket would work. From recent memory the inner side or vertical edge is straight with no radius. Have you got that gasket to work?

it's absolutly leak-proof, i use this gasket.

before fitting i cleaned both faces carefull.

yes, the inner side is straight so the gasket looks a little bit "outside" but this is only a optical failure.

Good to know. RTV is a bit of a pain.
