Another little task - Headlight rings

~Having lost a headlight ring on an enthusiastic blast across the North Yorks coast last week, a nice little job for a Saturday morning.
Bought a pair of the Mini spares chrome rings as previously discussed and at great expense procured some of the special little brackets - pop rivetted snd re-fitted. Job done

Hope you got some decent ones, there are a lot of poor quality items out there, you'll have little brown rust spots before you know it!

Not as shiny shiny as chrome but stainless is another option?


Of course you'll then need the headlamp retainers to match

Indeed they are stainless - I got these

Although you'd have to be pretty obsessive to get the inside mounting rings in stainless as you can't see them...

I have a spare pair of the special little tabs for mounting. Based on the price of indicators I plan to sell these for £75 a set..

(or perhaps an SAE would do it)

One of my projects for the winter is to replace the headlamps. The inner and outer rings are rusting, as is the reflector bowl. One side is better than the other, but they both need replacing. I would be extremely grateful if somebody who has already done this could provide me with a shopping list of parts that I need.

I have these and the angel is duller than the average DRL - but effective at night
