Could anyone advise me on these watches?

I was looking at a Rolex Yachtmaster in gold but stumbled across these - i quite like them but my ignorance wins here as i have to admit to never having heard of this make?

Any help much appreciated.

Originally a British manufacturer way back in the 17-1800's, after which Charles Fordham bought and carried on the name when the son passed.
No idea if it fizzled out or what, but current ownership was with La Joux-Perret, a movement manufacturer, which itself was acquired by Citizen 2-3 years ago.
They make some cracking watches, but like many brands, they're effectively unknown because they don't sponsor things like F1 or have Hollywood celeb associations.

I noticed DomH has two, they are very nice, but looking at the prices the depreciation is eye watering.

SecretSales.com have 3 Arnold and Son watches on offer today with 50% off. 50% off a lot of money, is still a lot of money, but a saving nonetheless
