Indoor Cricket ~ What a load of old conkers.

Against my better judgement I agreed to turn out today for a game of indoor cricket. 6 a side, 12 overs each. I gave up this ridiculous form of the game years ago so should have known better.
Well, it hasn't improved, 4 fielders - 1 stuck in each corner, the stupid plastic ball bouncing off the walls, the incessant noise of squeaky shoes and shouty wicketkeepers echoing around the place means you can't hear yourself think. Not enough room for a full run up so you're forced to run in to bowl in a virtual semi circle. b
ks ~ all of it.
It didn't help that one of our blokes failed to show and us playing the best team in the area. Predictably we got royally stuffed.
Me? 8 not out and bowled 2 overs for several dozen. A raging headache and didn't even get a beer out of it.
Well worth a fiver, NOT.
