For me, first off a BMW E24 635 csi. It was getting costly with rust issues.

Secondly a Citroen BX16v, still regret selling it, no problems, great car and getting quite rare now. frown

Biggest regret in my motoring life, selling an BMW E30 M3 in 2002 for not very much money.

Clio V6. Granted I made a bit on it myself, but didn't think they'd go up another £4k or so in a year

Almost every single one of them. Series 1 Escort turbo, 3dr Sierra Cosworth and TVR Griffith 500. Therefore , I have decided my Cerbera isn't going anywhere....

My old man sold a Mk1 Escort Mexico rally car in 1975. That's got to be up there in the "worst decisions ever" list...

Small fry, but my MR2 Turbo was, IIRC £2750 or so when I bought it and sold it for £2500 or so. The condition it was in was good, and would be worth around £4000 or so now I think.

In 1998-ish, I was offered an E21 (only a 316) for nothing. It needed a gearbox, but it was immaculate as it had been owned by a retired bloke since new.

It was pre the internet being a big thing, so I turned it down, as it would have been a pain to locate a box for it.

These days, I'd have ripped his arm off, as a 'box would have been a 10 minute google away.

(Similarly, I saw a Porsche 924 advertised for something silly like £150 back then, but it needed a new rear hatch - similar issue, where would you even start to look in the pre-internet era?)

(Yes, I know we had internet in 1998 - I'd been active online since 1992 - but you couldn't easily search for parts way back then)

Mine too was spotless, absolutely loved it but had to get rid of it sharpish as I was away overseas at hideously short notice. I can't think about it too much as it still winds me up 11 years on!
