How long should it take me to change the bushes on the side of the remote linkage U type bracket?

The top ones look fine but the side ones have plenty lift in them although no trouble with gear change! might as well change them if simple job while up on the ramps but I have seen a thread somewhere on here that indicates the gearbox needs to be jacked and then lowered, is this right?

I am on my back doing the job but they do look just about accessible.

Thanks.

I hear access is a bit tight on the narrow-spine SEAC chassis but a 350/390 should be easy enough... allow 20 mins, and nineteen of those are for rolling around finding the bits you keep dropping wink

Only about an hour especially if it's already off the ground. On the 350i it was a bit tight getting the hands in for the upper ones but doable.

The longest part might be washing your hands after as is gets a bit oily and gunky in that area!

I removed the centre console and gear lever fairer, to do the top ones. As Adam says, surgical gloves required. Careful not to over tighten into the alloy, I stripped one if the threads....dooh.

Hoping to get away with just doing the bottom ones as the top ones seem as though they have been changed some time recently, which I don't understand, why would you do the awkward ones and leave the easier one's?
