Do I Need A License

To offer £99 down and £25 a month telephone systems to other companies (not the public) - I am getting conflicting advice from Wirral Biz and the FSB.

Why?

Presumably you're not offering a loan with interest but a product and 30 day credit or 30 day prepay use over a pre- agreed contract term?

What license do you need to offer credit terms?

I wasn't sure if I needed a consumer credit license to sell to sole traders (I now know I do) I don't need it got limited companies however

Maybe ask Trading Standards? I went to a talk mine gave on the subject once so presume they know.

I asked FSB legal, had to explain that we are renting phone systems not selling them so they checked and it's a consumer license for sole traders.

Offer form is £99 installation for a 2 line system and £20 a month upgrade any time aimed at small growing companies who will typically outgrow a system within a year.
