They could've been a bit more adventurous with the spec of their demo/display car - On the interior I mean. Either with alcantara with contrast stitching or a lighter leather like tan or cream. Possibly even a two colour interior. Also lacking carbon on the centre console it looks like.
Very poor that the salesman doesnt treat you with more respect - how do they know what you have/what your spending power is? Odd but seems to be a trait a lot of salesman seem to have.
Hope your experience improves with MB Anjum. Any closer to choosing how you're having yours exterior paint / interior colour scheme?
All spec'd up - due in June - Details at the start of this thread!Very poor that the salesman doesnt treat you with more respect - how do they know what you have/what your spending power is? Odd but seems to be a trait a lot of salesman seem to have.

I'm torn between ordering an AMG GT-S, spec'd up to £120k, or an ~18 month old R8 V10 Plus at around £90K. The AMG is getting superb reviews and I love the look of it, but have always hankered after an R8 and 30k less is an attraction.
Anyone tried both? Tough decision
Seeing as you'll probably have a year plus wait for an AMG, why not order one and get the R8 in the meantime. Only risk is the new R8 affecting residuals.Anyone tried both? Tough decision
I had an R8, it's a cracking car except for the very old MMI system and minimal luggage space. The V10 is glorious too.

I like your idea of trying both though

Go on, you know you should
Speccing up a GT on Mercedes' website, why is it that pretty much every single option is part of some massively expensive package, and can't be had individually?
Doesn't seem fair that they're offering an "all or nothing" spec basically.
I just want mirrors, parktronic, distronic and Burmester, don't want all the other stuff and especially none of the assist crap!

I understand that, doesn't make it ethical though. In my industry, the regulators would kick us in the balls if we still offered "packages" like that, where inevitably people end up paying for stuff they don't want/need.
I guess they also assume with a starting price of £110k most people will be happy with that.
Not saying it's right or wrong - just it is what it is.
So I did the difficult part yesterday - paying for it; but I don't get it until next Sat.
I hadn't realised that i have to keep the revs below 4,500 and below 85mph for 1,000 miles. Black box recorder in the engine that would void the warranty if exceeded. Might try and do them all next Sat. :-)
