It's lunchtime, so it's time for PH/HH/eBay.

Browsing as per, saw these:

I was surprised at the price.

That price must be a typo - they're only £580 on the Arcteryx website...

Have to agree. I have a Mammut jacket which is around £580rrp. I got it on sale, but it still cost a lot. However I use it all the time and it is amazing. Completely watertight and is remaining so, and very strong and light. Yes, it is a crazy amount of money but since I do a lot of mountain trips both walking in summer and walking up/skiing down in winter it's important to have clothes you can rely on. It's also lasted a lot longer than any other jacket I've had. Proper outdoor clothes cost a LOT.

Doesn't seem that out of the way for "performance" trousers. A pair of Rukka motorcycle trousers are £769, and apart form the armour at knee and hip, use similar high spec materials.
