The bolt that goes through the rose joint has come loose where it is bonded (I presume) in the bonnet.
Is there a mod for this or is it a bonnet of and bodyshop fix?
Thanks
Rob

I had this problem with my last Chimaera.

I took it to a TVR specialist to get fixed. They removed the bonnet, drilled a large around 3cm or so, to get the necessary access and then re-bonded.

I later fitted a rubber blanking plug to make it look a bit neater.

Should add of course that the hole drilled was on the inside in the panel covering the fixing wink

Hi Rob,

It's a common problem. Two options, as above, cut a hole and glue in a new bolt, or there's a mod where you can glued in threaded rod, for the entire width of the bonnet, so it protrudes from both sides to attach to the rose joints.

Southways do it regularly, I've discussed it with them in the past. They can explain it in further detail.

I also think you can buy a new fibreglass hinge section which you can glass to the bonnet itself.

As above, fix it properly with a new hinge box if the fibreglass is broken.
