Why doesn't Mercedes offer the GLK to the UK?
Discussion
I like them, loads of proper wheels in Europe ( I mean massive tyres rather than rims) and without all the bling, and a really good load space that seems to be lacking in most modern designs.
More useful than the ML in that regard.......
I love the negative comments, mostly from those who drive Jags that were designed 25 years ago, or who 'drive old buses for fun..'
My cousin had one when he was in Geneva and it was a much nicer place to be than his E350 4Matic estate, much nicer ride and better load space all round.

Thank you for your replies - if the next generation does come to the UK, is it going to be a case of "too little, too late?"
Why? I don't get that at all?If someone wants a slightly smaller 4x4 that is a proper load lugger, rather than a SUV that is all about looks, this will sell well.
If they are in the market now, what does it matter if it was here previously or not?
According to Wikipedia, so probably bks:
"The GLK-Class is not sold in RHD markets such as the United Kingdom and Australia, due to a driveshaft used to operate the front wheels on 4WD versions of the GLK. It is positioned such that it encroaches slightly on the right-hand-side footwell."

That's right, but never stopped Audi selling cars here. What's the coupe in camo in the car park the GLK pulls into?HarryW said:
I thought the GLK never came here due to issues with converting it to RHD. However it's replacement is due next year and will be available here. it's probably going to be name changed too, to the GLC though, it more in the Q5 segment than Q3 though.
