Well, D. What do you think?. Is it pants?. lol.
Hi K.....collected yesterday but on driving away noticed a slight rattle coming from the engine lid which was traced to minor play in the opening hinge.....a new one was ordered and am now collecting the car for a second time tomorrow. First impressions of the car are awesome.....will report in more detail after done some miles over the weekend.

Small world as the second car going out yesterday was the last GT3 from my OPC which incredibly was identical to mine colour and spec wise (apart from the colour keyed fob hehe)

Hope you are enjoying yours......you managing to run it in??

Hi D,, All the best tomoz then, that was very unlucky.

Yep, I love mine. You can do the town driving and then blast along a country road. She is also getting louder as she heads towards 400 miles on the clock. Off work next week so have more time to play with her, thus more miles. I would also say they perform at there best when the oil temp gets up to 90, everything smooths out and she's even more responsive and willing. The new blue warning light goes off way to early ( after around 3 miles of driving ) so ignore that.

Keep us posted

Yes, I've been surprised how quickly the blue light goes out, much quicker than I would normally allow my other cars to warm up. The manual says the light goes out when the oil temperature is just 45 C send until then the engine speed is limited to 7000 rpm... Seems better to wait for it to reach at least 70 degrees. Maybe it's more intended for severe winter conditions when hauling the temperature above freezing will take more time.

Incidentally, what options do people choose for the 4 line info panel? Not sure why you would ever want to know the GPS height, so I replicate the oil pressure and oil and water temp dials and add battery volts but assuming I'm even looking at the thing, the G-meter and power/torque displays are also interesting.

.
I never take my car over 3k until the oil is at 90, 45 seems cold to me

Quick question. Will Porsche UK or my OPC contact me prior to taking delivery of my car with regard to the Silverstone driving tuition day. I feel that it is important to be a familiar with the car before we take to the road. ?

Normally these will occur a few months after delivery (and you may have to chase!).

As long as you are sensible in you car, particularly at this time of year, you shouldn't have problems.

Some good news ! Jaimie from the Porsche Experience Centre has been in touch , we are booked in for our tuition on 9th December. delighted!! I hope the course covers inappropriate overtaking! tongue out

Plus I have received a call back from Justin at Exclusive Car Care who thanks to his professional manner has been chosen to detail my little red devil when it arrives.

The pendulum has started to swing! Very excited! Think I am going to have to re visit the Chris Harris Video again !! smokin

Good man! Really pleased for you Rob.
Is Justin going to put the protection film on too? I highly recommend you get it done at the same time, you dont want to get it detailed then chipped on the way home before the film is applied.

Hi Kul , to put it mildly " No Chance, never never!;)" After my experience of heavily modifying my last Aston and all the problems that followed and the subsequent warranty disputes I would rather spend what little money I will have left wining and dining Molly. Instead I shall buy myself some goggles and drive with my head out of the window to fully savour the aural delights of a flat six at full chat. wink
