Probably a daft question, but I'm about to exchange on a conversion project and need to get insurance. Currently it's not classed as residential and I need to get buildings cover for it during the conversion process (conversion will be minimal, just adding a bathroom and moving the kitchen to a bigger room). Looking at self-build cover, but not sure if this is the most appropriate.

Any recommendations?

If you are borrowing any money to do this you need to speak to the lender as they need to okay your cover.
