Hi

So after getting back to normal following flat battery I would like to fit a replacement. The car is a 2008 V8V coupe. I have seen some posts and a limted section from workshop manual but could someone please describe how I get to two lower nuts/fasteners on the carpet covered panel between the seat and the battery. I understand the metal top trim removal but can't see how to access these two lower fasteners which appear to either be difficult to access. Also is there a need to remove sill cover plate and a side interior panel?

Many thanks

I'm very surprised we don't know how to change the battery ourselves. Is it a dealer/indy job?

Yes, you need to remove the sill plate and rear side quarter trim panel

Thanks for that. I am still unsure how that will reveal the lower fastenings for the rear panel though or is there no real need to remove these and the panel bends forward? Does the rear vertical panel have to be fully removed or does it just need to get past the side panel hence taking the side panel out.

Once again thanks. Have given this a good looking at but not sure how to remove these 2 panels. I believe the lower fateners. Are somehow behind the carpet for the rear panel.

Regards
Mark

Thanks for you help so far guys. I have read pretty much all the threads I can find by searching (not looking to impose by not putting the effort in myself) and there appear to be 2 conflicting tales. The link above appears ok but not sure which carpet and studs are referred to. If it is the carpet on the panel between the floor and the metal cross rail then I cant see any studs and am frightened of just ripping the carpet off. I believe there may be 2 nuts holding this rear panel to the floor at the intersection between it's base and where the floor carpet appears to go under it.
Also another thread talks about removing the side panel but as I see it that can only be to create space for the rear panel to pass it .

Anyone any practical experience of getting at the lower fastening of the rear panel and which carpets to heave at?

May take some pictures when I do it to help others.

I also has trouble with the 'official' instructions. Did you find my earlier post giving the steps required - I am fairly sure that the carpet on the heelboard just pulled forward. It was straightforward once the sill plate and rear quarter trim panel were out, though I recall sliding clamps at the bottm fixing?(2007 V8V Coupe)
