It would be movies and TV shows as I do not have an ariel or Skycable hooked up in my apartment, so I tend to download during work for the evenings entertainment.

Amazingly only about 1Gb per month - 1/10th of my contract allowance.

Mostly use iTunes Match on the go, but usually find a wifi connection for downloads of films and iPlayer etc

Work (currently) in the City, but can't usually get a 4G/3G signal from my desk - so that helps!

500mb limit and never exceed it.... use wifi when ever possible.

Going to upgrade to sim only unlimited data so I can use a new 4G phone as personal hotspot for my iPad for my work as its only wifi iPad.

Similar to your usage as I "series watch" on my phone, but on Wifi as I tend to DL at home or at work.

My mobile data is about 1.5Gb/m.

Can you not piggyback off a nearby Wifi station via BT-Wifi or The Cloud?

Mobile data (4G)

used: 2.14GB
reset date: 10th November

Usual suspect - Netflix when i'm in the car waiting for the other half at the train station

but now thanks to streaming bluetooth audio in the new car i got carried away with spotify and playlists i don't have downloaded to the device.

Whooops.

About 500MB on mobile data and around 3GB on wifi, that is going down a lot now as I use my tablet at home so it's even less. Plus I uninstalled most social apps from my phone smile

Is the smugness of ex-social media users the new ex-smokers or hybrid drivers? wink

Not much to be honest. Bit of a jump as I had to use it as a portable hotspot to set up a tablet smile

A bit more on WiFi though...

Not much - I switched to Giff gaff recently who have a useful monitoring app. I reckon I'll have done about 200MB by the end of my first full month with them.

I have a limit of 250mb and never get anywhere near it. Everything's on 24/7 - FB, Twitter, email etc.

At what point was I being smug? When did I say I stopped using them?

I still use them, just not on my phone.

Last Reset: 01/10/2013
Current Period: 14.9GB
Current Period Roaming: 1.9GB

Not much, fluctuates depending on how much time I've spent away from home/wifi.

I get ~20Mb speeds over 3G at home, and I have a plan with unlimited tethering. I'm often tempted to cancel the £50 I pay for fibre each month and just use mobile data.

I'm on wifi at home and work so data is usually only required when we're away or I'm on the way to/from work. I usually use about 500-700Mb per month and it's usually from Spotify, podcasts and Twitter.

I think it helps that I can't get data for about half my commute, so I tend to download on wifi before my journeys.

How come Adblock Plus is using so much data?

I don't use data unless I'm on wifi. Even when I preload up £15 and get 500Mb of free data, I don't use it. Wifi is too easily accessible to bother. (I'm PAYG and pay about £30 - £45 a year)and use Viber / Whatsapp for most calls and messages
