Starter motor replacement

Has anyone got information on a replacement starter motor for an S2 ? Mine has no markings on it. I`ve looked at the alternative parts list, no joy there, thanks for any help.

You may well find it cheaper and easier to take it to one of the many rewind firms who repair starters/alternators etc. Not sure what there is in your area but an internet search should find something.
I use Ellison Auto Electrics, Forrest St, Blackburn, Lancashire BB1 3BE, 01254 265988.
I have never had any problem with them at all. My S is using a motor restored by them about 5 years ago. I would always go to them first rather than source a potentially unknown after market item. I understand they will do exchange or repair by mail.

Hi Steve,
Are you sure there isn't a part no. stamped on the casing? Mine is a Lucas LRS 135, with extra numbers 0001108019 stamped on it as well.
That's for my S1, two mounting bolts, dunno if S2 is the same or not?

Why do you need a part number?

Ask for a Granada 2.9 starter, two bolt fixing.

Thanks for the input lads, mine is totally s*^gg@d, even the magnets have broken up. I thought that the granada starters all had three bolts and as my S has the sierra engine, that`s what I`ve been trying to scource

things like Sierra 4x4 with alloy bell housing are three bolt but if you scroll down the description of this one for example although the photo is generic so could be wrong,the schematic drawing with a few measurements shows it as two bolt.
