Will my number plate pass an MOT if..

My classic Alfa Spider, like many others, wears a small front numberplate.
I believe it's the same size as a bike rear plate. Legal in every respect except size (so illegal).
Thankfully, both MOT & Police have been pragmatic about it & I've never been warned, asked or instructed to put the pre-drilled full sized plate on by them.
