Hi all,
Found out that AM Reading has closed its doors for what-ever reason, and they are re-directing their customers to Sevenoaks in Kent. Living in the Reading area, I am not going to be driving all that way!
Anyone had any dealings or know of anything in the Reading area?

Nearest ones would be HWM - Walton, Surrey - main dealer
Trinity Engineering - Cobham, Surrey - Indie.

I use to frequent the Reading dealer but have moved over to AM Works now. Also a good time to go for a pint with Sukh smile

Paul, a good few people on here use Trinity, can't recommend enough - servicing is very very thorough and they know the cars inside out.

Thanks all, a few to `mull over` and get in touch with and see what they come back with!
I have heard rumours that there is a brand new AM official dealer opening near Reading somewhere...who and when I don't know - but you know what these rumours are like, might not even happen!!

Supposed to be HR Owen at Pangbourne if they can get planning to expand the site. Yes really.

You simply wont get better service and quality than Trinity Engineering.

Glad to hear that Reading can no longer annoy customers and carry out shoddy and less than satisfactory, sub standard work any more..... Good riddens....

Wow, that would be a great addition to Lamborghini and Bentley in Pangbourne! A small place I believe, but would definitely suit that kind of area.

Found an advert for these guys in EVO http://www.spellboundcars.com/astonmartin-servicin... not used them myself - but perhaps someone here has?

Yes I have, and very recently. They were exceptionally good. After using Stratstone Reading for some time, and continually being disappointed, they were a revelation.

I'd had an altercation with a high kerb so needed some bodywork, and also some routine bits like brakes etc. The service was outstanding - they wentintro detail about everything they were doing and couldn't have been more helpful.

A visit to their place is a real treat anyway if you see the line up of cars they ahve for sale and in the workshop.

Interesting to see comments about Spellbound in Farnham. I've used Spellbound cars for my V8 Vantage after a recommendation from a friend who had used them. They are really excellent, its the best standards I have ever received for any car and my V8 came out of there like new. I wouldn't go back to any main dealers after using these guys.

I use to use the Lancaster Aston guys at Reading until they wanted to rip me off for a new clutch. Don't mention brake pads!!!!!

Found the guys at David Appleby Engineering a treat. A bit of a trek to south of Banbury, but well worth the visit :-)

I believe you.

I think I may have stumbled across what might be proof.

If an applicant for the technician job is asked to remove a seat, he won't get the job if he first reaches for a spanner. They point out, that you must first reach for bubble wrap to protect the sill.

I've been taking mine to HWM since I bought my V12V from them. Great customer service and support - Keith Richardson in particular has been most supportive when discussing various warranty issues with Gaydon on my behalf, and has got good outcomes so far. I would recommend them.

Interesting so it is happening then. My 'yes really' was more to do with the fact that the site is so snall and neither Lambo or Bentley will be moving out.

Well, it looks like it's DEFINATELY happening now. Just driven through Pangbourne and there's signage up and everything!
Popped in to have a chat aswell, and they showed me the plans and it looks like it's going to be a pretty impressive 3 brand site (Aston, Lamborghini & Bentley). Apparently CAN do AM work `un-officially` until the workshop is up and running, then once AM sign them off HR Owen will be an official AM dealer for Reading area.

Interesting to see what happens....might have to give them a try.

You should be invited to the opening party now Paul.

I wonder if Lamborghini will be at one end, Aston Martin at the other end, with Bentley in the middle, keeping the two types of owner apart. smile
