I subscribe to Evo magazine and take 5 or 6 away with me when I go on holiday. Obviously this is quite a lot of weight so was considering downloading the app but wanted to hear from others whether this is a decent substitute to the (paper) magazine.

My concerns are mainly centred on the fact that as I would only be using the app something like once every 6 months would it be difficult (impossible?) to determine what I read the last time I used the app, new articles I hadn't read, etc, etc.

Thanks.

I used to subscribe to the app, but when back to the dead tree version when they updated it to drip eed articles through the month. I prefer to read magazines in one sitting, rather than bit by bit.

Thanks for that Craikey.

That was my main concern. I can apprecaite that for those who like to read Evo like a newspaper i.e. daily then the constant updating is preferable.

Sounds like it's the print edition for me!!

Couldn't get on with it personally, call me old fashioned but much prefer the mag in hand. Same with newspapers.

Did exactly the same, thought the App was ok until this constant drip feed of articles wore me down. Quite happy with the paper copy only for now.
