Having had my car up for sale now for a few days I have been getting e-mails from people who I thought are seemingly interested in buying / looking at it. But these e-mails are the same generic type stating that another advert has my car for sale at a lower price with a link to what looks like a virus. See below:

Message:
" Hi,
Is this your car?

Link: tny.de/ww-piston-heads-com-classified-used-cars-porsche-used-autos-porsche-2705276
(if the link does not work copy and paste it into a new tab window)

Can you please let me know what is the real price for it? I saw your add on Piston-heads but another seller has the same car up for sale at half your asking price.
Regards "

Is this the norm for PH Classifieds or am I just unlucky?

Unfortunately all classifieds sites suffer from this. I've asked someone a bit more knowledgeable than me to pop their head in thumbup

Unfortunately, as annoying as it is, there is little we can do with these emails. Eventually we hope to have an internal messaging system, so we can monitor all emails that go through the site. We also hope to have CAPTCHA codes on the site, hopefully it stop those pesky bots. However, in the mean time please disregard all emails which contain a link. The quickest way to tell if a buyer is genuine, is to ask them to call you. If they refuse, please cease all contact.

If you get any more of these, please forward the link on to adverts@pistonheads.com and I will get the website closed.
