People like speeding in 30 zones
Discussion
I don't know why, but a guess would be that well lit streets and slow moving traffic mean that grandpa and grandma Slow, find that 30 zones are comfortable places to speed.
Or is it that their ankles are more comfortable at a fixed position, arthritis or something?
Or do they know better, and 30 zones are encroaching on ordinary people and should fk off back to some urban utopia that never really existed?
I dunno, but 30 zones are where I feel like speeding as well, despite all the messages of danger, it seems that most people object to going slow. Irresponsible: yes. But when are the government going to learn that 70's idea of keeping drivers and pedestrians apart was a good one? Shared spare is crap. Pedestrians should stay on the pavement, cyclists on cycle tracks, and cars on the road. So easy to follow, yet so many retards think we should share.

At a guess I'd say the 99% of the time pedestrians don't have the benefit of lights or crossings to help get them over the road and there are no tracks for people to cycle on. Why should we all have to pay for tracks anyway? Edited by Randy Winkman on Tuesday 21st October 21:14
And motorcyclists should stay on racetracks where stupid speeds are acceptable?
Or - here's an idea - learn to along with people, who just want to get the fk to work without an idiot on a motorbike running them over/ splashing their internal organs on their bonnet, even if they don't have fighter pilot reflexes and spatial awareness. Randy Winkman is right, speed limits are there for people like you.

Sounded like a pop at the elderly driving at 40 everywhere. And I've some sympathy for that. I had the pleasure of a speed awareness course and the elderly gentleman on the course explained he was done because "my car won't do only 30 in top (gear)' . He then argued with the instructor about being taught not to drive in lower gears as they were only for getting to top gear, all he wanted to do was drive as slowly as he could "in top"... I wonder if that was the policy for those who learnt in the 40s and 50s.
