Help. What to get dad for 60th that's not bothered?

We have no idea.
I suggested practical things like new shed, nice toolboxes or another registration.
My sis said watch.
He would like either I think but would rather we didn't bother.
We also thought about going to a hotel and spa for an evening but difficult to get people organised....
What else? 500 budget.

For my dad's birthday and Christmas i know gwt him something along the lines of concert tickets, so we can spend time together. He has enough means and time to get himself anything material he wants so figure this is best for both of us.
And it means i get to see mark knopfler and pretend its only for him!

My dad had loads of cine footage which we put onto a dvd for him: our childhood, etc. made a lovely present.
He was also in the TA driving a ferret armoured car. So we got him a drive in one around some fields in kent. The kent police armed response unit which were called due to the machine gun fire stayed for birthday cake and made a great day out

Our youngest gave me a couple of bottles of wine for my 60th. He lives in New Zealand and the wine came from two NZ vineyards.
His mother was not happy on her 60th and wanted to ignore it.
A couple of weeks ago I went to a school reunion. It was 50 years since we started in the same class at secondary school. Only 9, out of 33, of us managed to make it on the day and 3 are no longer with us. It was over 40 years since I last saw any of them. A sort of "This is Your Life" could be fun but probably too late to organise.

Only 9, out of 33, of us managed to make it on the day and 3 are no longer with us. It was over 40 years since I last saw any of them. A sort of "This is Your Life" could be fun but probably too late to organise.
For my FIL's 60th we purchased him a pleasure flight in a light aircraft, when he opened the card, the look on his face was one of horror, I am sure he thought we were trying to kill him off for our inheritance 
Anyway the day finally came round for his flight and he was still not a happy bunny, but when he was up there he loved it, we flew down over the north Yorkshire Moors to Whitby and then back along the coast and over his house, he even got to fly it,
What a change when we had landed he was full of it, never stopped talking about it.
As others have said it all about experiences.
As a footnote to this story when I was getting near my 50th I dropped hints about a glider flight, only to have in the following weeks it appeared every time we switch on the TV, reports of deaths from gliding accidents, followed quickly by me hinting for something else as a present. My wife kept saying I really should try gliding

Not bad going, I've lost 2 from my primary school class and 4 from my school year and I left school in the last decade
For mine the family organised a meal at my favourite restaurant, with my family and a couple of very close friends, it was perfect.
I didn't want a party and made that quite clear but they wanted to mark the occasion in some way so a meal was agreed to.
I gifts I got some very nice wines, a special bottle of whisky, and a bottle of cognac from my birth year.
The wines are gone and were excellent, the whisky and cognac are unopened as I haven't yet had an occasion which I deemed important enough to open them - maybe my 70th or 80th if I get there.
What I actually wanted to do was the Cresta Run but that was vetoed, I will just have to fund it myself
