So far I've done Brands, Bedford and Snetterton.

I've got Oulton Park booked for the 7th of November - is it a good track? Any bits of advice that might come in useful for the track?

awesome! Its a very tight track, no real runoff at certain parts and it has a mix of tight bends, straights, banked bend you name it - its got it. Bend to watch is near end Druids has trees above it so can be a challenge with stuff dropping. I am no expert though.

Oulton is fantastic - if its wasn't 2.5 hours from me I'd do it more often. Makes ex-airfield circuits feel very boring in comparison. Bit hairy in the wet, though.

The best with Spa.

Yes druids is to respect if wet or damp. By November you may have to wait for March to dry as under trees in some bits smile

IIRC there are three different circuit layouts.

Pretty much all trackdays are run on the International layout (the longest).

Great track that takes some learning, well worth getting early instruction to get some pointers.

Druids is not quite as lethal as it used to be - they resurfaced it last winter and it now has some grip in the wet.

It's epic!! Has a couple of decent straights, has elevation changes, fast corners, chicanes, the lot.

Druids needs respect but satisfying to get right. As it's a reasonably long lap I find traffic gets well spread out so rarely feels busy. Well worth a trip.

Amazing circuit... Very challenging when it starts sleeting mid morning.

Cheers for all the advice guys.

I have an ARDS instructor as my passenger for the whole day - sounds like a great track!
It's a shame its so far away though, I have to go up the night before and stay in a hotel!

One of the best.

Just make sure your brakes are in good order and take care through druids.

My favourite UK circuit, very technical which often catches even the experienced track day driver out.....

Ive done half a dozen days this year, dry & wet.....

I'm also there 7th November, lots of differing vehicles in attendance Inc some top rally boys practicing for the following days/weekends Oulton Rally

Love Oulton Park thumbup

It's the only UK track I've driven so can't really say how it compares to the others but I can vouch for the fact that even after 6 days there in various cars I still find myself coming away having learnt something every time.

I find it quite fun in the wet TBH.. although I do cheat and use AWD:

Oulton is my favourite track. It's a shame that it's so far away though. The double right of Druids is my favourite corner of the circuit.

Amazing circuit, best I've been to in the UK. Just be prepared to be disappointed wherever you go afterwards!

I consider it a shorter version of the Nordschleiffe, and just as likely to bite yer arse off !

done it about 10 times and it still scares me in places.

downhill off camber Cascades, keeping your foot down past the little kink before Druids, Lodge with the little 'yump' on the exit, bump on the pit straight just in the main braking zones and when its damp it can cause the wheels to lock up.

Favourite bits are Lakeside, Island, Shell, Foulstons, hilltop, Knickerbrook/Hizzies, Clayhill.

Supposed to be one of the best drivers tracks.

Awesome fun, even in the wet but care/skills needed.
(I'm not driving in the vid, in the passenger seat!)
