Afternoon all,

I've recently acquired a 2001 Forester S-Turbo as a Winter hack. I want to get a few small issues attended to and don't have the time or mechanical knowledge to do it myself.

Anybody able to recommend a decent Subaru independent specialist or indeed just a decent independent garage who are fairly knowledgeable about Subaru's either in the Haywards Heath or Billingshurst area?

Need an inner CV boot replacing, a chatter / squeal when cold investigating and fixing, a slight shunt / hesitation under mild acceleration and constant speed between 50-60 mph, and the turbo oil feed banjo bolt checking.

I am aware of Monza in Ashington, but I have a feeling I could end up walking away with quite a large bill from there as it seems their labour rates are reasonably high (more than I pay a BMW specialist for my M3!)

Thanks,
Rich

Is it really that high? It struck me as being pretty good. £59.95+VAT for cars over 5 years old. I had my Legacy 2.0i serviced and MOTed there earlier this month, with no complaints.

As I say, it's more than I pay per hour for work to be carried out on my M3 by a local independent.

Forester goes in to Rivett Autos on Monday now anyway.

Ah. Not that close to me, but I'd be interested in their hourly rate?
