Neil Young, i salute you

He has written some top songs no doubt.
Harvest is a great song.
"I was almost there at the top of the stairs"
I spent a lot of my teenage angst years listening to "After the gold rush"
I forgot to add that my young daughter can play all of the mouth organ part on "Heart of Gold" . I love that

A sensational artist, I bought most of his albums as they were released but strangely didn't play them to death at the time. I vividly remember wanting to keep them safe for a time when I would more appreciate them, as I was being heavily influenced by other types of music at the time.
I finally picked them up again in earnest about 10 years ago, & although I of course have always known the songs well they somehow seem more personal to me now, & I listen to them more than any other artist now.
Go on, give Cortez the Killer a listen as soon as you can, genius song.

I'm a big Neil Young fan, seen him a few times now including with Crazy Horse. The Weld album is worth a listen if you're liking Cortez, there's a few tracks on there of the same ilk, however the best version of Cortez, IMO, isn't by Neil Young, but by the Dave Matthews Band w/ Warren Haynes from the Live at Central Park album (video on YouTube) - Warren's solos are incredible.
