Shower Every morning without fail.
Often shower or sometimes bath most evenings, but not religiously.

I don't have a 'sweaty' job though.
And me.

Depends what I'm doing work wise. If I'm up early for work (0500/0700) I'll shower the night before. As I tend to oversleep, and it will wake everyone up.

If I'm not in until the afternoon I'll shower once I'm up.

Sometimes straight away once I'm back from work, and after I've been for a cycle.

My ex used to go three/four days without bathing/showering, was fking horrible at times, theres only so many polite ways you can say 'jump in the bath you smell'.

Never understood people who don't shower in the morning and then go work in an office next to people all day.

Do they not realise how much you sweat during sleep? or how much dried sweat they walk around with all day. They might not 'stink' but I assure them they don't smell fresh either.
Absolutely this

You posh git! Mines Jan 1st whether I need it or not (start the year clean) wink

Nice bath before bed here. Clean the days ste off and relax before bed that way. Oddly when I'm at the girlfriend's house I tend to shower in the morning. Different routines I guess.

OP - What was the original debate? Was the thread outcome what you hoped/expected?

I wash in the morning before work - think it's rather disgusting to go to work not clean (you sweat in your sleep...) A guy I work with stinks of B.O in the morning, so he clears doesn't shower before work.

I feel disgusting if I don't shower after I get up. If I've had a particularly heavy day at work or been to the gym after work then I'll have a quick blast in the shower so I don't crawl into my pit smelling all fruity. So basically twice a day.
Same here, couldn't imagine spending all day at work having not had a shower in the morning. That some people don't disgusts me a little. Urgh.

If it's been a hot day I'll often shower in the evening too or if I'm off out for the evening. It takes minutes and you come out smelling all fresh and clean; why wouldn't you do it?

First thing in the morning - as soon as I have gotten out of bed.

I do this every day without fail, I thought everyone did until I went to uni!

Shower every morning unless I'm going to go and get dirty immediately, and then again if I need it later in the day.

I put "other".

If I'm not going to the office, then I'll shower before I get dressed every morning.

If I am going to the office, then there's not much point showering before doing 15 miles on a pushbike, so I shower when I get there.

Sometimes I would like to shower in the evenings as well if I've cycled, but if it do it at all regularly, my skin dries out so much that I start looking like I've swapped my skin for filo pastry. frown

I really don't understand people who have baths though. Why on earth would anyone want to get sweaty whilst marinating in their own filth? confused

There's one guy who also cycles to work who obviously thinks he doesn't need to shower. Believe me he does. The stench of decaying sweat on the gear he hangs up in the drying room is rank.

I also used to use a local gym but again the stench there is appalling. Armpits, feet and no doubt worse.

I won't always shower before cycling in or going to the gym but I will if I know I'm already covered in many hours' worth of stale sweat.

Can't imagine getting in bed without washing away the day's worth of grime that has accumulated. I don't want to imagine what the "morning showerers" bedsheets must look like hurl

Morning. I am one of those people who shaves in the shower. If I am going to the gym I wait till after workout and shave there. Obviously if I have been doing something dirty or sweaty I shower as necessary.

I shower in the morning and shave in the shower with a mist-proof mirror. Occasionally I shower in the evening and, of course, I shower at the gym.

I hardly ever take a bath.

Exactly this (though I live next to my gym, so just shower and shave at home afterwards).

Re: "Can't imagine what the morning showerers' bedsheets look like" - I can't imagine what non-morning-showerers' colleagues think of them.

I did a fairly short contract a while ago and one of the guys I was working with said "I only shower every other day - it's a bit pointless". Needless to say, every other day, the guy reeked.

Shower every morning as soon as I get up. Maybe shower in the evening in the summer if I've had a sweaty day / used London underground.

I can't be dealing with baths though. I actually really don't like them and they can make me feel nauseous.

In the evening, immediatley before bed. Morning, when I get up. Anytime I've been a bit physical. When kids were small, as soon as I got home from work it was splash time. Rubber ducks and boats thing. And occasionaly the bloody dog as well. Mummy wasn't impressed by the bathroom afterwards though.............
