We are looking into this issue, which appears isolated just to this one account.
Well I'm definitely satisfied by that explanation.RacingPete said:
We have taken the process of temporarily suspending any account that can access others - something only affecting a handful of accounts

I'm worried about all the water flying around the office, and whether Craig the duck is being properly cared for.
I think it's safe to assume that if they cannot look after personal data they will be neglecting Craig's duck. Or probably ducks - it is likely that Craig has multiple ducks attributed to him, some of which are not his real ducks. The site slowly turning Chinese makes me even more concerned for the ducks:
Crispy aromatic anyone?
Have read the thread with interest. PH team please respond,
Has there been a breach of the DPA ?
If so as it is implied by PH earlier replies, have PH self notified the Data Protection commissioner ?
If not those affected may do so, it is fee.
Have PH notified all users at risk of the potential breach and explained the remedial steps taken together with a direct contact route through which complaints relating to the breach may be channelled .
A statement on the homepage reassuring users would normally be appropriate.

PS Doncaster was a random and hopefully incorrect place.
Customers are our top priority at PistonHeads and we're undertaking a full and comprehensive review of what appears to be a data security incident. We are using our formal data breach processes and we will be providing appropriate notifications as necessary. Please remain patient with us while the facts develop and we learn more.
On further investigation of the data breach that was reported on this thread we find that a technical failure meant that a small number of users may have been able to see the contact details of another user. No sensitive data has been disclosed.
Whilst reporting this incident to the Information Commissioner's Office is not mandatory, we have voluntarily reported the details of this unfortunate mistake by our developers and given full details on how we put it right. We take our users' privacy very seriously and we can assure you that the issue cannot happen again but if you have a concern please email us at datacontroller@haymarket.com and we will provide further reassurance.

You're quite correct. It's a real April 1st couple of posts. I wonder if the "real" Haymarket have noticed his posts yet, though probably not, as they don't visit this area of the forum very often.
Data Controller? Two posts? My arse!
It is a valid email address. Google it... why would it not be serious?Data Controller? Two posts? My arse!
