I have found my A post as it fits to the floor of the foot well has a lot of corrosion and 'moves' when the door is opened or lifted.
There does not appear to be any bolts through to the chassis to locate it and it is not fixed to the fibre glass.
Has anyone had this problem and resolved it?.
I suspect the plate at the bottom has weekend due to the corrosion but am not sure if I am missing something.
From underneath the outriggers look in good condition.
Thanks for any info in advance.
Chris

The bottoms of the A and B post tubes had a bit of 2mm plate bent to conform to the sill angle and drilled so that the bolts that hold the shell to the sill plates also secure the vertical posts.
On every car I've seen with rotten sill plates, the A and B posts had also rotted away at the bottom.
I have no idea why you can't see any really obvious 1/2" or M12 bolts in that location, unless they aren't there!

on my old silver wedge when I pull the carpet back all I could see was a pile of rust.......no bolts no metal plate

Also when I yanked at the seat belt mount it came off in my hand

So if they are rusty get the carpet peeled back and have a good look..........post some pics if you are unsure
