Looking to replace a tired set Kumho Road Venture's (KL78 I think) and I see AT2's are still available in the size I need (225/75/16). Anything else worth considering at £100 per corner price point? I liked the AT2's I had on my P38 RR and was very impressed with their capabilities and I still have a pack of studs of studs fit to them...

Still running them on my Grand Cherokee, as supplied by our own Sarge there in 2010... a great tyre, well recommended (by me at least!)

I'm a fan of mine. Can you still get 255/65 16s?

Think I will be ordering a set then. Read through lots of reviews for different A/T's and they still seem to come out on top for the price vs performance battle.

Really? I thought they were long gone. I certainly couldn't get any replacements over a year ago for my P38. They were replaced by the slightly strangely named General Grabber A/T which doesn't look as good but works even better. Something about EU noise limits, which seemed a bit daft considering how quiet my AT2s seemed to me.

IIRC AT2s are still availble in commercial vehicle sizes as they aren't covered by the db / mpg rules car tyres have to adhere to

I think General jumped a bit to quick on the AT2's, yes they were supposed to be gone as you say replaced by AT (Cooper nicked AT3), watch this space, new kid on the block being worked on as I type. wink

I've been very happy with AT2s but I'm wondering if I shouldn't get something a bit more road biased. I'm also eyeing up the Wrangler HP and Latitude Cross (for no particular reason.)
