Hi guys, as above has anyone changed one?

I am fairly handy & have done clutches on several cars before, but not this one.

Do I need any special tools, or are there any handy hints or pitfalls.

If not I assume it is a case of:

Make a bit of space, maybe battery/airbox/subframe/hubs/etc.
Shafts out, catch oil, unbolt gearbox, lock up flywheel, unbolt cluch, replace, centre, bolt up gearbox, etc. etc.

Thanks in advance.

I managed to get off work early so thought I would make a start on this today, so here is the story so far.

Jacked up the car nice & high, removed both front wheels & both hub nuts. Dropped the pinch bolts off the near side leg & pulled the shaft out of the hub. Unbolted the bearing carrier for the off side shaft to allow the 'box to move. Dropped the inner wings, rear engine mount & front part of the sub frame. Removed the reversing light switch, ABS sensors, clutch hydraulic pipe & TDC sensor.

In the engine bay, I then removed the air box, battery box, battery, & near side gearbox mounting.

I then proceeded to unbolt the bell housing bolts with the engine & gearbox supported underneath.

It is then that I found that 2 of the bolts are nuts on LONG studs & these allow the gearbox to remain aligned to the engine without dropping while you reach in & un bolt the clutch.

This is where I got to after 4 hours on my own whilst I await the clutch kit arrival.

Lots of fiddly bits in the engine bay, but on the whole not too bad so far.
