I'm not sure if I've seen it discussed, but last year the traffic around the circuit was insane, particularly coming from Arnage on Thursday and Friday night.

The delay was (and I believe for some people it was hours) was entirely caused by BJS security who were far more invasive than normal, and consequently traffic backing onto the roundabout. This year they were checking every car every time - maybe a good idea, but not at their speed.

I'm not really sure what they were lucking for (other than I'm sure whatever it was you could have got in with only a mediocre effort), but loads of the banned items were on-site so just seemed to creating chaos for the sake of it.

I'd like to think that this may be addressed for next year, but I suspect not. Anyone else have a view?

I operate a Private Site on Beusejour and can appreciate the frustration encountered, we will be meeting the ACO in the next couple of weeks and this will be on the Agenda, I am confident that changes will be made to the process. I assume that our colleagues at Speed Chills will also be addressing the issue.

Obviously if I obtain any further information I will post accordingly.

Have to say the traffic this year was horrific at the peak times. Our lot were taking two hours to get from the autoroute through Arnage. The hold up on Friday afternoon/evening was mainly down to the antics on the road outside BSJ rather than the security but most years they create traffic problems as for some reason, they feel the need to filter ALL the cars coming past through the front of BSJ rather than let those trying to go somewhere else carry on past. Those cars trying to simply get through end up bottle necked in the front of BSJ getting stuck behind BSJ campers having their passes checked.

Porkieboy - perhaps you could bring that up specifically?

Not this year. There were antics from those headed away from BJS. Those headed towards the roundabout had no room for antics due to the traffic queue.

THanks Porkieboy - it's good to know it will at least be brought up.

I will certainly raise all of these points.
