I don't recall ever hearing of one of these, but one is up for auction here:-

Some rather interesting cars amongst that sale, including a Cortina Savage.

Very pretty.

There were two versions of these, one had upright headlights, and this type which shares it's front lamps with the Lamborghini Miura. There was a restoration project for sale recently and the headlights were worth more than the rest of the car!

I bought one in 1998 - see lot 383

It was running but tired - it later went to Japan

A mate of mine bought one in the late 70's It needed a good tidy but otherwise it was in good nick. A decent engine tune & service & reskin of the doors & it looked very good & drove well, it is based on Fiat 125 so decent suspension. He part chopped it against a near new Dolomite Sprint & got a lot of money for it. His was a Royal Blue so probably not this one.

These guys always seem to have an interesting and correctly priced listing. The D-Type will be a fun project for someone

Always thought these were lovely. Used to know someone who had two of them and a Rover P6 Estate sat rotting in his yard - repeated attempts failed to persuade him to sell or even move them to somewhere more sheltered. Being a Vignale Fiat I can only conclude that they turned to dust many moons ago...

I worked for a partnership in 1970 and one of the partners had one of these and the other a Fiat 2300 coupe , the Samantha was blue with a cream leather interior , both interesting cars and quite rare even then .
