Houses across the UK are soon to fall silent as the laughter drains away in the wake of Miranda's demise.

The 41 year old tells the BBC she has 'tortured the populace enough over the years and with the show at such an all time low it's about time it was put out of its misery like a lame, flea ridden nag found stumbling around the beach.'

I may have paraphrased a little there, but you get the gist.

Here's to Miranda in light of what must be a wise decision... beer

<Annoying American Accent>Really? </AAA>

Miranda always felt like the comedy equivalent of the emperor's new clothes, it would only be funny because someone said it should be. It wasn't.

T'was dreadful, painful attempts at obvious comedy that simple wasn't funny in the slightest.

I don't think we were the target audience.

My wife liked it.

I thought it was fine. I wouldn't watch an episode twice but it had some amusing bits.

By far the funniest thing about it was how its success made people on Pistonheads so angry smile

It never made me angry - it never made me anything, except bored perhaps.

Good, now if they can get rid of that awful Lee Mack sitcom; Not Going Out, that my wife thinks is oh so funny, then I will be a happy man.

That title had me prematurely excited ..... and before calling time on herself (ideally with a 12 bore) she also called time on Sarah Millican and Shappi Khorsandi

FINALLY someone else who is a fan of that - I thought I was the only one.

You only have to play me Vince's "I'm a C**t" song and I will be crying with laughter.
