I have a 57 plate 997.1 Turbo that I bought from an OPC. It came with two years warranty, which will expire in March.
Is it worth renewing? The car does +/- 6,000 miles per year and has been serviced and maintained "by the book" from new.

when did you buy it ?

If it's 2 years ago (bought from OPC with 2 years warranty), how much has the car been back for warranty work ?

They had a secondary look at corrosion on some nuts on the exhaust heat-shield, but didn't actually action anything. Other than that, there's been nothing.

The more miles you do the greater the likely benefit of having the Warranty.

And, if you ever wanted to sell your car privately, especially a Turbo, then the Warranty will add real value.

Cannot renew after 9 years, so probably the last time to stick on a 2 year warranty and keep the history intact

Oops... you are right, for some reason I thought it was a 2007 car.

Car is a 2007. Since I won't be modding, I think I'll renew. Thanks for the replies.

Just food for thought...

Mine went in for a OPC warranty renewal check in January this year, got a clean bill of health and warranty was applied,

Not more than 2 months and 300 miles later during a minor service at the same OPC, I got a call that the mid rad was leaking, 3 coli packs needed replacing and the cigarette lighter socket, all done under warranty

Go figure,

I'll be renewing mine again in January

Gives you confidence to push the car knowing that most things are covered. In my 996 c4s something silly like 25k worth of warranty work was done in 4 years. On my 997 c4s and cayenne s never made a claim.
