Anyone on here know much about these or where to have them made to a specification, for a new product we are designing.

Imagine replacing batteries on a conventional power tool, I need to know how much longer would these provide power for, anyone know the maths?

Maybe I should I ask in the science section?

Thanks.

Think you may need to read this wiki about fuel cells before you go much further.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fuel_cell

a brief read finds this paragraph:

"Fuel cells are different from batteries in that they require a continuous source of fuel and oxygen/air to sustain the chemical reaction whereas in a battery the chemicals present in the battery react with each other to generate an electromotive force. Fuel cells can produce electricity continuously for as long as these inputs are supplied".

So the answer to your question is they can go on indefinitely. But the question you need to ask is how to generate and store the required fuel which is usually hydrogen.
